Title: Openoffice portable 3.1

Hi,
I have Openoffice 2.4 installed but would like to upgrade to 3.1. Does the sme contrib need updating to allow this & if so is it possible please? I guess this is a question for Michael Weinberger.

Not heard anything either ardugh so as an experiment I installed OO 2.4 on a test server as per http://wiki.contribs.org/OpenOffice_for_Windows (http://wiki.contribs.org/OpenOffice_for_Windows), & then uninstalled it.

Next, using the same howto, I substituted OO 3.1 portable for OO 2.4 and all is working ok.

I did the above as it replicates the steps I may follow on our production server.

I would be interested to hear any comments from those in the know re. using the RPM that was built for OO 2.4 to install OO 3.1 and whether this is something that is risky or of no consequence.
