Title: no connection to my sme server
Post by: achim.wessling on July 24, 2009, 10:40:46 PM
I more and more often, do not get any connection to my sme server. I allways have to restart it, to get a connection.

Sadly, no monitor and keyboard is connected to the machine. So I can only connect with ssh to it after a restart and look into the log-files to find any errors, but I have not found anything.

So please give me any hints where do I have to look for.

SME is configured as gateway, dhcp, proxy and dns.

Thanks!

The most likely cause of that is faulty hardware, especially NIC. What network adapter do you have?

If networking is not reliable, you will need to connect a keyboard and monitor if you wish to debug the problem.

If the answers to the above questions reveal that you can't make any connection to your SME from the local network, then you will need to connect a keyboard and monitor to see what's up on the SME when it is not responding.
