Title: *72, *73 and the likes ?
Post by: soprom on August 04, 2009, 04:39:59 AM

No, we can do it, but it's going to be a long boring job for someone.
:)

Hi, this is following a thread a few months back about features like *72 instead of *XY* to match freepbx style.

I was wondering if the long boring job for someone had been assigned to a lucky coder...

Not yet...

We looked at the presets for FreePBX but it isn't clear to us which are Bellcore based and which are just Freepbx constructs so I think we need some help.  Can you summarize briefly which ones you want?

OK

Should we pass upwards (to the network) any features that we don't implement?  A lot of these NANP codes look as tho' they are supported at the network level.

I'm sorry but I can't give you a straight (technical) answer.

Users say they are used to *97 (or *98) to pick mailbox and *72/*73 to redirect calls to another number.  This is not handled by the provider (I don't really know what "network level" means).

Sorry for not being of much help.

We'll do a little reading and talk to some folk we know.
