Title: Install Asterisk on top of SMEserver
Post by: jonaskellens on August 08, 2009, 04:01:24 PM
If SME-server is based on CentOS, is it then possible to install additional packages or software on top of this distribution ??
Would I for instance be able to install Asterisk IP-PBX from source ?

I would like to use SMEserver as a router/firewall/DHCP but also on the same machine use a small Asterisk PBX...

So I install yum, download what I need to build Asterisk, remove the downloaded packages that I no longer need so stability remains and I've got what I want ?!

Yum is already installed by default and should not be removed from SME Server.
