Title: Ventrilo autostart
Post by: Messias89 on August 10, 2009, 12:17:11 AM
Hi I have just installed ventriloserver 2.1 on my sme. It works greate, but I have no clue how to make the server start automaticly. I saw one guide on how to do it, but it was to complicated for me to fully understand, so I went here instead for more help and to not screw my system. Would be greate to fix it! Thanks in advance

Hi

look in /etc/rc.d/init.d for a init script.. let's say you have and its name is ventrilo

Code: [Select]
cd /etc/rc7.d
ln -s /etc/rc.d/init.d/e-smith-service S99ventrilo
config set ventrilo service status enabled

Note.. the name of the service, the part after S99 and the name of the init script must be the same

HTH
ciao
Stefano
