I have a fresh install of SME 7.4 with all updates. When I execute "top" in a shell and press"1" I only see one CPU (IBM Intellistation with two Xeons). The previous install (SME 7.1 CD upgraded to 7.4) did show both processors.
My /boot/grub/grub.conf file:
# grub.conf generated by anaconda

# Note that you do not have to rerun grub after making changes to this file
# NOTICE: You have a /boot partition. This means that

splashimage=(hd0,0)/grub/smeserver.xpm.gz

Any ideas or do I need a bug report.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Either select the smp kernel at boot time or change default to 0 and reboot

I have the same error, I just installed a fresh 7.4 sme version into a IBM x3650 with 8Gb of RAM and Quad-Core Intel® Xeon® Processor 5160. when I run the following command : cat /proc/cpuinfo
I can see 4 Processor but I installed the sSystemMonitor and SystemMonitor in order to check the server but only one processor appear
Do have any idea if I have to install another library in order to be able to see all processor.
Note: I booted with a SMP kernel. but the error still continue.
Thanks in advance.

SystemMonitor reports one CPU for me too. You may have to reinstall it or wipe out its data so it starts over.
