Hi guys -
I have just converted my server from a single drive to a software RAID system.
I did a clean install and then restored my /home, /opt and /etc directories (excluding lilo.conf and fstab)
I am now having major problems in two areas:
1 - my modem is on ttyS1, but keeps reverting to ttyS0. It also connects to my ISP and then logs out after about 3 minutes, but my settings are "continuous".
the ISP says it is definately a problem with my settings - how can I rectify the situation without using server-manager ....
the second is that email is coming into the server, (verified in maillog) but users are not getting their mail - it does not appear in webmail, Twiggi or Outlook when refreshed. I believe this is a user permissions problem, as some of my data had incorrect permissions when restored in my ibays. How do I rectify this - is there a specific file or directory to chown or chmod?
I have tried reloading e-smith using the "upgrade" option, but it only got worse
