Post by: David Harper on September 07, 2009, 08:45:45 AM
Hi all,

PHP 5.3.0 is now available for testing for those who are feeling adventurous. It's not in smecontribs but you can download the RPM packages from the associated bug, http://bugs.contribs.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5376

There are also a few new features:

If there are any issues, please report them in the bug above.

Thanks!
David

Worked for me, allowing installation of Ampache (woo - streaming music from my server via 3G on my HTC Magic), and my webtunnel using PHP5 still works, as well (just as well, given that I did the update via a remote connection from work).

I would still appreciate the Crypt module to be compiled in, though.

Would you mind to share some of your experience with webtunnel in a "Return on experience" post?

I would like to know how you install and use it. A wiki page would also to cool.

I'm sure many of us are looking for this type of tunnel.

Thanks for your time!
