Title: Frontpage Extensions
Post by: Teviot on September 17, 2009, 06:27:21 PM
Hi All

Not sure if this is the right place for this question, but.

Has anyone had any experience/success installing Microsoft Frontpage Extensions for use with Expression Web on SME 7?

I am interested in doing this and would like to know what is involved and is there any risk of thing going wrong.

I currently run my SME server in gateway mode and have SAIL/SARK pbx software installed on it.

Any help would be wonderful.

Hi..

I've found a rpm here (http://layer1.cpanel.net/fp/frontpage-5.2-0.i386.rpm), and I installed it successfully to a Centos4.7, so I think it should work also on SME..

note:
- you have to install it via rpm --no-gpg because this rpm is not signed or sign is not available
- I sincerely don't know what this rpm install on your server and where: you should investigate with
Code: [Select]
rpm -ql frontpage
- you should create template fragments to iinstall/configure it successfully on SME
- finally, FP is not supported since many years now.. :-)

if you manage to setup it, please share an howto, thank you

Ciao
Stefano

P.S. I will ask moderator to move this 3ad to contribs section as it is OT here
