Title: Can't add trunk for SPA3102
Post by: soprom on September 20, 2009, 02:50:13 AM

I have a problem with SPA-3120 when creating a trunk.

Carrier: SPA-3102FXO

SPA Gateway Name: 5145551234
Gateway PSTN number: 5145551234
Gateway MAC Address: <empty>

All I get is this error message:
Operation status report - Trunk Name NOT Entered!!

Anyone at my rescue here!?

Thanks...

As I just found a thread on the same topic, suggesting to use General SIP to setup the FXO trunk, I dont't really get it...

Creating a SIP trunk means that pbx will try to logon with a registration string... but the SPA would also be trying to register to the pbx.

Confused...  Pbx says: Peer is not supposed to register

Hi Sophie,

There is a bug in the 3102 provisioning.  You can manually set it up using general sip and simply remove the generated registration string

Best
