Title: Mail Configuration
Post by: Brandon Friedman on March 27, 2000, 05:39:51 PM
Hi there,
I have 2 problems with my e-smith server:
1. How do you edit the dial-up frequency of the fetchmail e.g. every 30mins during office hours & every 2 hours after office hours???
2. I would like to make my mail account format look like this - firstname.lastname@domain.xxx - is it possible & how do I do it??
Thanks
Brandon

E-smith 4.0 will have many more choices about frequency of dialups and fetchmail connections than E-smith 3.1 does. E-smith 4.0 is in beta test now.

I have an add-on RPM which does this which you can find at http://e-smith.gormand.com.au/4.0-preview. This RPM creates email aliases firstname.lastname -> username for each new user created. You can also use my RPM for adding email aliases, and create the aliases by hand. You will need to do that anyway for any pre-existing accounts.
