Title: [SOLVED] Any one having iPhone Z-Push Connect Problems?
Post by: Mjohnson on December 03, 2009, 03:18:11 AM
As of the last series of updates for SME, which I installed over the weekend, the iPhone suddenly quit connecting to Zarafa via z-push.

Everything else seems just fine (i.e Outlook, Thunderbird, iPhone IMAP connections).

Not sure where to look for trouble shooting or if anyone else is experiencing a problem.

Thanks

MJ

I have spent some time working through some of the issues with the Zarafa folks.  They have asked if I can check that the following is set correctly:

open basedir set for /var/www/html/z-push and if subfolders are restricted too on /var/www/html/z-push/include and /var/www/html/z-push/backend

Not sure how to do that.  Any assistance is appreciated.

Thanks.

look in /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf, and locate "# Zarafa specific configuration files." close to end of file.

There does not seem to be any specific basedir instructions...

Thank you for the follow up.  I had found that file and was modifying the underlying template and having little success.

I noted also that web access was not working (I don't use web access often and did not notice the problem) and implemented the solution recommended in the zarafa forum:  http://forums.zarafa.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=3601 (http://forums.zarafa.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=3601)

It also solved the iPhone problem.  Can't say I understand why.

NOTE:  Per the zarafa forum, the work around suggested is for a known problem in the 6.30.5 upgrade.
[Edit:  I see this has been noted on the Contrib Zarafa Page... quicker than I could type!!]

Again, thanks for your reply.  I realize this one was a bit off the beaten path.
