please define "electronic medical records softare package" because, IMO, it's a bit generical

Take a look at OpenEMR at www.oemr.org, this would be easier than trying to explain all of the features required. OpenEMR is compatible with Ubuntu and debian. I not sure if it would integrate with SME

Stefano,

I think you might mean SME Site Maker (http://wiki.contribs.org/SME_Site_Maker)

I do think you mean SME Site Maker, but I tried to install SiteX, it looked interesting but doesn't appear to be SME 8 compatible. Do you know if SiteX will work with SME8?

I think that SiteX would likely work on 8. I haven't tried it though. I did do a localinstall of SME Site Maker on 8 and it worked fine for me.
