Title: MP3 Jukebox and local network
Post by: Dave on June 13, 2002, 12:23:37 AM
I installed the MP3Jukebox blade, and access the jukebox by typing into the browser the server's internal IP address as follows:

http://xxx.xxx.x.xx/music

It displays fine, but when I try to 'stream' or 'fetch' files, it goes to 'WWW.xxx.xxx.x.xxx/music' to find the file - not to the local network.

Any idea how to resolve this?

I think I had the same problem. Is was the domain name.
The domain name on SME must be registred in DNS, otherwise it wont work.

If you add a line to the hosts file on the windoz box identifying the server name that works and associate it with the IP address, your system will use this host file name instead of using DNS for resolution.
