Title: SAIL Versions
Post by: apmuthu on December 17, 2009, 07:47:30 AM
SAIL upto v2.2.1.x support only Zaptel.
SAIL v2.4.1.x onwards will only support DAHDI.

What are the statuses of v2.2.4.x and v2.3.2.x ? Do they both support both drivers?

ALL 2.2 releases are Zap
ALL 2.3 releases are DAHDI
There are no Zap/DAHDI dual releases

Look in the wiki - sarkpbx.com/twiki

It is all detailed there.

Kind regards

Thanks!

Although there were separate links for Zap and DAHDI in the twiki, I did not find anything that tied to versions - there were references to v2.3.1.x but none on v2.3.2.x.

Which versions of SAIL are okay to install with Asterisk v1.6.x ?

Does FreePBX for SME tie in with SME just like SAIL - all links on the Navigation Panel?

Are there any differences in functionality between the SAIL v2.2.x and v2.3.x versions other than the Zap / DAHDI driver channel changes?

You'd need to ask the freepbx guys in a separate thread

Minor differences - all in the changelogs

No, FreePBX is a web app using mysql to store parameters instead of sme's db config system.
