Hey Folks,
I am looking to use SME to serve email and intranet on a wireless lan that covers a number of clients around our town.
I was wondering if SME could also be used to serve the PPPoE as well?
ie. Could the user database in SME be used to reference the authentication of PPPoE.
Has anyone done similar? I'd really like to hear your experiences if any!
Cheers
Zach.

Hi Zach, welcome here..
maybe I don't understand exactly what are you asking for, but SME supports radius auth against its users..

Thanks for the Welcome!
I'm pretty sure thats what we need! For radius authentication, is there a special package I need to install? Or does it work 'out-of-the-box'?
The only other thing I can think of is a bandwidth accounting package, but thats later down the track.

radius is already installed on SME
you have to create the right conf for it
you should read the dev's manual to understand how to create the conf files in the SME's way
