If I do this:
db domains setprop test.com MailServer a.b.c.d
signal-event email-update
then I am diverting to another mailserver (in my case an IBM domino server).
Can someone tell me if the email gets scanned by Clamav and spamassin before being passed on?
As it is handled by initially by qpsmtpd I am inclined to think "yes", but would like an expert to confirm or deny this.
The reason for the question is because the IBM domino server cannot pick up email by pop or Imap, only by smtp direct delivery.

Brian,
Do you want to only forward for one domain or in general? If it has to scan and forward for all domains that it is configured for just use Delegate Mail Server functionality in the server-manager.
-
At the moment it is just one, yes I know about the SM option, but my question remains - does the forwarded mail get scanned?
-
Yes they will (well at least if you configured that in the server-manager)
-
Oh, I see, but perhaps NOT if I use the single domain method?
-
I am quite they will but you can always verify by checking the /var/log/qpsmtpd/current log.
-
ok, I'll try it...thanks :)

The answer is yes, as has already been answered. AFAIK know your Domino or whichever other mail server will still function as a normal smtp server and the mail will be redirected to that server without any issues.
