Both up on the server. Please test these releases and move to them. We will soon remove earlier rpms from the server to save space and to archive older releases. The 2.1 & 2.3 series have already been removed. If you are using one of these releases then please upgrade to 2.2 or 2.4.
thankyou

Hi S.,
Any releasenotes/list of changes?!
-
I've updated to 2.4.1-4 from -3 but I am now getting an email from Cron Daemon every minute
Subject Cron <root@smeserver> perl /etc/selintra/aelcronqmove
Use of uninitialized value in concatenation (.) or string at /etc/selintra/aelcronqmove line 70.
Aelqmove103 - Couldn't open stageing directory - ending
aelcronqmove appears to be trying to open a directory /home/e-smith/files/primary/files/stage, but on my system 'stage' is a file
-
sorry glitch - we'll get you a patch out tonight
In the meantime set stage to point to an empty directory
Kind Regards and thankyou for the prompt report

another bug...
upgrade to 2.2.4-30
Cron Daemon reports every minute:
Cron <root@asterisk> perl /etc/selintra/aelcronqmove
Bareword "SarkSubs::sark_rec_mode" not allowed while "strict subs" in use at /etc/selintra/aelcronqmove line 32.
Execution of /etc/selintra/aelcronqmove aborted due to compilation errors.
I commented out line 11 in /etc/selintra/aelcronqmove
# use strict;
Cron stopped reporting errors but I'm not sure how this will effect the functionality of the script
-
Grovelling apology - packaging fault
Please try -31 - it's already up on the server for you.
Let me know if its OK

upgrade to 2.2.4-31
Cron Daemon now reports every minute:
Cron <root@asterisk> perl /etc/selintra/aelcronqmove
Undefined subroutine &SarkSubs::sark_rec_mode called at /etc/selintra/aelcronqmove line 32.
had to put in a dummy aelcronqmove script to stop my inbox from filling up
-
hmmm - there is more to this than meets the eye because we aren't getting those errors on our test image.
I'll put up a new empty VM image and do a clean install
- back in a bit....

Update:
Regressed back to sail-2.2.4-13.noarch.rpm (it was the version I had been running before the jump to sail-2.2.4-31.noarch.rpm) and everything was stable...
Upgraded to sail-2.2.4-31.noarch.rpm again and the cron error messages started:
Undefined subroutine &SarkSubs::sark_rec_mode called at /etc/selintra/aelcronqmove line 32
At one time you had a perl-File-ReadBackwards-1.04-1.2.el4.rf.noarch.rpm posted...
What was that for and could it be related to the missing SarkSubs perl routines?
-
Thanks for your help with this. I think we've found it. It is to do with a small difference in some of the 2.2.4 and 2.4.1 support code. We're just rebuilding now and I'll put it up on a fresh VM to check. It seems only to affect the 2.2.4 release (2.4.1 looks OK).
btw the perl-File-ReadBackwards code is still required if you have advanced call recording fitted but otherwise not.
Thanks again

I'm not having a good day so I'm not promising but -32 loads and runs ok on our reference server and the test VM I put up for it.

Damn, got caught with this bug this morning. Opened my email to see Outlook downloading 800 odd emails. WTF!
Checked here and saw this, did a quick regress to see if that would work till I could sit down and sort it later.
Still more emails, oh well downloaded the latest and it finally seems to have stopped.
I am now running 2.4.1-7, the previous was 2.4.1-4 I got it on the 1st of Feb and the error didn't start till last night.
Doesn't really matter now as it all appears fixed..
Cheers
Mark
