Title: No Access to web Server Manager
Post by: ceebster on March 19, 2010, 10:21:39 AM
Hi Guys

Quick question - Just playingwith 7.5rc1.
I have it built on a VM.

Sent Ip etc - can ping it get a response.

Go to my web browser put in https://ipofsmeserver/server-manager

i get the certificate error - then no page displayed. Says i don't have permission to view this page.

This error (HTTP 403 Forbidden) means that Internet Explorer was able to connect to the website, but it does not have permission to view the webpage.

Am i missing something?

Thanks

Chris

Sounds like you are trying to access the server-manager from the WAN side of the SME server.

please remember nobody has a crystal ball here, so give more info about your setup:
- what kind of VM? (I mean, vmware, virtualbox..)
- your lan setup, on SME's side and on host side

thank you

p.s. remember to file a bug in bugzilla
