Hi,
Few years back i worked with a SysAdmin who used SME exclusively and ran Affa as his backup management. Now i need to find out if i can use Affa within the rather complicated situation i have been thrust in. I would like to find if it can do what i would require before starting the whole process of figuring it out how affa works and applying it on our own SME machine. :D
I would just like to know if Affa would be capable of making backups of other distributions we use as servers? These would be ubuntu machines, some being used as virtual machines. I am currently working my way through the Affa wiki and other forums but was wondering if anyone here would be able to perhaps give me a heads-up (so to speak) before i delve into it as a possible solution.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,

The wiki article says
"Non-SME server linux systems can be backed up by setting the SMEServer property to no and using an include list "

Thank you mary for the reply! I see in the wiki that that statement is right at the start of the wiki.
Will continue implementing Affa as solution.
Thank you,
