Title: Raid with IDE and Sata

hope you guys can help

i have an sme 7.4 server with a single 320gig ide drive

i want to install an additional drive on the system for raid

if i install a 320gig sata drive can i use the raid option (using the 320gig ide as my primary boot drive)

will this work in the case of ide drive failure

any help greatly appreciated

Short answer yes, but not without a lot of problems. Its not a good idea full stop to have a mixed array.
