Ive had an issue with clamav 2 weeks ago that affected the servers ability to process emails. Had some help updating sme repositories and everything was fine after updating to clamav 95.3 from previous version.
IVE tried to run freshclam in command line and here is what i get

hi..
I see something strange here, because, on a 7.4 before the last updates should be:
[root@smeserver ~]# rpm -qa 2>/dev/null | grep clam
clamav-0.95.3-1.el4.rf
clamav-db-0.95.3-1.el4.rf
smeserver-clamav-2.0.0-6.el4.sme
clamd-0.95.3-1.el4.rf
and giving
yum update
you should have:
[root@smeserver ~]# yum update | grep clam
---> Package smeserver-clamav.noarch 0:2.0.0-8.el4.sme set to be updated
---> Package clamav-db.i386 0:0.96-1.el4.rf set to be updated
---> Package clamd.i386 0:0.96-1.el4.rf set to be updated
---> Package clamav.i386 0:0.96-1.el4.rf set to be updated
clamav i386 0.96-1.el4.rf smeupdates 12 M
clamav-db i386 0.96-1.el4.rf smeupdates 23 M
clamd i386 0.96-1.el4.rf smeupdates 216 k
smeserver-clamav noarch 2.0.0-8.el4.sme smeupdates 45 k
so I think it's bugzilla time for you :-)

Hi after further investigation it turned out the repository update setting was "disabled"
[root@server ~]# db yum_repositories show smeupdates
> smeupdates=repository
>
> BaseURL=http://mirror.contribs.org/pub/smeserver/releases/7/smeupdates/$basearch
> EnableGroups=yes
> GPGCheck=yes
> MirrorList=file:///etc/yum.repos.d/mirrors-smeupdates
> Name=SME Server - updates
> Visible=yes
> status=disabled
> [root@server ~]#
enabled setting by running
> db yum_repositories setprop smeupdates status enabled
>
> expand-template /etc/yum.smerepos.d/sme-base.repo
>
> then run again
>
> yum update
Thanks to all in the bugs process- wouldn't have been able to resolve the issue myself.
After downloading the updates (118Mb) server locked up- scared the bejesus out of me, after a couple of reboots it settled down and reconfigured the system to a stable situation- all up and running now.

Id like to say that this is a cracking topic for showing how the forum and bugzilla should work together.
I understand the need for bugzilla from the developers point of view, but most of the time (speaking for myself) i assume its me doing something daft not sme.
this makes sense, ir problem found, discussed on forum, escaleted to bugtracker, found to be user (as im sure is usual) not sme, reported back on forum.
Thumbs up from me anyway.
