Hi after repairing some repository update issues with my server ive now lost my database for my websites i host. I have a backup of the entire server using dar but am unsure how to restore it. I'm a little hesitant to restore the whole backup it over my production machine as it may change some of my settings in the repository which resolved some clamav update issue i was having. Thing gave me a heart attack when I updated the box as it "cardiaced" when i rebooted. Its up and running now but Ive lost my database. It resolved my clamav issue and also updated much of the system.
What is the best solution- restore the database for the websites separately or do a complete restore from the backup using dar from the web browser??

You can restore the dump files from backup, they are in: /home/e-smith/db/mysql/<db-name>.dump
and then restore them to mysql
