Title: How and where to add SPF TXT Record in SME 7.4
Post by: mr_tariqahmed on April 28, 2010, 06:13:35 PM
Hi,
I was facing some problems in Outgoing/Incoming like, Mailer-Daemon (Bounce Back), long delay in delivery, not receiving email from specific domain etc..

after searching on this forum and google I discovered that I have to create a PTR record in my ISP and SPF record in SME.

As per search result tinydns is a dns service in SME, I have to enter SPF record generated by openspf.org in tinydns. I have searched in this forum and google to do this but unable to find exact location and method.

can someone explain how and where to add SPF record?

Best Regards,

Tariq.

There is no point in creating an SPF record in SME server. The SPF record for your domain needs to be in your domain's DNS data, which will be provided by your external DNS provider.

SME's DNS records are used on the LAN, where SPF records have no meaning.
