Hi Psoren,
I'm assuming that you ask because you have a compiled Asterisk install.   I personally would not attempt such an upgrade.  You would have no way of knowing what got updated and what didn't.    Better to test any new release on a different machine entirely and then, if you wish to upgrade, take a backup of the SAIL database and build a new system with the RPM Asterisk installed.   You can then copy over the SAIL database backup and issue a commit.  Job done.  Don't forget to copy any sound files(greetings) you wish to keep.

Kind Regards

S

Hi S

The way i understand your answer is

1. If installed from source, upgrade from source

2. If installed with RPM, upgrade with RPM.

Is that correct?

Thanks and regards
