Title: Install SME 7.4 on HP ML110 G6
Post by: sebnet on May 19, 2010, 11:43:31 AM
Hi everybody

I try to install a SME 7.4 on ML 110 G6 with B110i Controller.

Cd is booting, can't continue after langage and Keyboard selection, because no CD ou HHD was found.

I need a special driver, but not given by HP, found a Centos 5, SME 7.4 = Centos 4.3, difficult to continue.

Have an idea ?

Thanks

hi..

take a look here (http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/servers/linux/hplinuxcert.html#ML)

as far as I can see, actually your HW is not Redhat certified, i.e. supoorted..

Ok, thanks,

But Certified or Supported, where is the limit.

The main troubble is : Supported ou certified for what ?

Because the Technology is totally modified since the G5 version.

It donsn't run on basic SATA or AHCI mode
They indicated a Raid inside, but if is activated, nothing more, no 3rd Party Bios or menu ... HP Invent ... nothing !!
