Hi All
I installed Dansguardian last year and set it to use ncsa as the login method for our users at another company. It was working perfectly untill yesterday. I am using a proxyusers file that contains all of their usernames and passwords. When I setup the user's web browser to use proxy server 192.168.0.1 and port nr 8080 and open internet explorer it doesnt ask me for a user name and password anymore and it says request timed out all the time.
I tried reinstalling Dansguardian and setting up all of the services but that doesnt work either. We have an ADSL line that connects to the router with an IP address of 192.168.0.100. When I want to test the internet connection from the SME server console the connection fails all the time. The server is set to server only mode and I have set the default gateway to 192.168.0.100 and the dns address to that of the ADSL router but the internet is not working directly from the server.
Can anyone assist me with this issue please?
Regards
Thian

I think you should resolve the lack of Internet access first.
Try restarting your router, and check if any changes were made to it, or if your ISP made any changes.
Check your cabling between server and router.
When the server can access the Internet again, then start troubleshooting your dansguardian login issues, if they are still happening.

Hi Mary
I have restarted the router already and I can ping the router from the server. The server is using the same dns server settings as all the clients and the clients can access the internet if their default gateway is set to 192.168.0.100. Is there anything else that I can check?
