Title: .htaccess
Post by: Rob on June 24, 2002, 10:59:22 AM
Should I be able to get .htaccess working?

My ISP requires that any web pages are password protected using this method, and although I am sure that E-smith is pretty secure they may not like the fact that I am still serving up a few unprotected pages.

Found this guide http://www.smart.net/help/how-to/htpasswd.html

messed around a bit more, and all to no avail. I have found reference to .htaccess on this board, but no real indication of wheather or not it works. Do I have to change any Apache settings?

Thanks in advance.
