Title: Custom greeting
Post by: Franco on July 08, 2010, 01:36:08 PM
Hi,
I received one of those custom greetings professionally recorded, and looking to install on sail.
Can I just create a greeting as per the manual and replace it (usergreetingxxxx) with this custom file?

Best,

Depends...

Asterisk can only play mono files at a certain sample rate (8k if I remember rightly).  You can google it on voip-info.  There is a section in there which shows how to use sox to resample regular .wav files.

Best

Hi S,
This solved my problem.
I installed lame and used sox to resample.
Thanks a lot.

Asterisk 1.4 has a build-in tool for this:
