Hello everyone
I updated to the latest patches lastnight and after a post-upgrade and a restart qmail no longer works. I am unable to send any email or receive any via the smtp port.
netstat -an reveals that there is no smtp port open.
Has anybody had this issue and if so can you help.
Thanks Kobus
Edit by cactus: Modified subject to read qpsmtpd instead of qmail

please open a bug in bugzilla giving all the relevant info to diagnose your issue.
thank you

Your issue is with qpsmtpd, not with qmail.
You might have the same issue as bug 5977 - a number of users have had problems due to 3rd party repositories being enabled, which leads to incorrection version of some rpms.

Hi
I looked at Bug 5977 but was unable to see any comparison with wrong rpms so have logged http://bugs.contribs.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6123 with I hope all infor needed.

Hi
I followed the advice in bug 6123 and deleted all the non rpm owned perl files. I also removed the temp fix and can now send email as before.
Thanks for the help here and on the bug.
I however still see this in the log for every hosted domain:
Use of uninitialized value in concatenation (.) or string at /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/Qpsmtpd.pm line 132.

Issues like this do not belong in the forums. Please make a habbit of reporting bugs for issues like this. Any core feature should work error free and should certainly not log issues like this. Please report a new bug for this one. Thanks in advance.
