Title: Upgrading to dahdi from zaptel - Is there an easy way?
Post by: Teviot on August 29, 2010, 12:14:51 PM
Hi All

I currently run SME 7.5.1 with Asterisk 1.4.21.1 and Sail-2.2.4-40 using Zaptel

I am interested in upgrading to Dahdi, BUT I'm not confident in compling from source. To do that I would need exact instructions.

Code: [Select]
[root@saint ~]# uname -r
2.6.9-78.0.8.EL

I there a way of upgrading that even I can't stuff up?

To flatten your learning curve, try a test run on a VM.

Download virtualbox ( http://www.virtualbox.org )and create a SME 7.5.1 virtual machine and test.
