Title: Migrate from 7.5 to 8.0b6 using external USB drive

I've written a wiki page about my experiences moving a production server (my own) to SME8.

Is there any reason why you didn't use the built in workstation backup facility instead of dar2 or was it personal preference ?

Because I have used dar2 for many years as a nightly backup and wanted to also use this as a test of a full restore (which I have never done).  Much of it would still apply.
