Title: the MAKE cmd...

um, does E-Smith have the MAKE command? im trying to install a 3rd party script that will autoupdate my IP for dyndns (yes ive tried using the one that comes with e-smith but it doesn't work for some wierd reason...) and in order to install the script i have to go:

make
su
make install


but when i type make, it goes bash: make: command not found


????

Make is not installed. You will need to install the development rpms to be able to do any compiling. You can get them here

You could just name your box whatever.dyndns.org when you set it up.
You'll find that the update script works then.
If you do a search for dyndns.org on this forum, you'll find the file which has to be edited to make it work without reinstalling though. I had the same problem as my home e-box is whatever.net and I've got whatever.dyndns.org.
The script tries to update dydns with whatever.net. It doesn't work.
