Title: can I run two copies of MediaWiki on one server
Post by: pauljclarke on October 08, 2010, 09:03:47 AM
Hi,

As the title says, i'd like to have two copies of MediaWiki running on my server at once. Idearly these would have seperate DataBases and URL /Wiki/ and /somthingelse/

IOf anyone has any suggestions that would be great.

Thanks
paul

I remember there has been a thread on this in the recent past (last few weeks), please search for that one. If a solution was found it should be in that thread I think.

Unfortuantly my search results came up blank. I have found comments on Media Wiki itself but know this contrib is written for the SME distro I guess its will not need the same tweeks.

I've looked again, so if any one can suggest what to search for (other than MediaWiki.!) that would be great.

Thanks
Paul

As well as the wordpress suggestions, if you do a search on Joomla, there have been posts re how to install multiple iterations, the same concepts will apply to mediawiki. Go back a year or two or three for the joomla stuff.
