Title: SME server security settings
Post by: mandeep.mehta87 on October 11, 2010, 12:36:13 PM
Hi Everyone

I have installed the SME server and am trying to do a port forwarding to the ports of tomcat in the SME.
SME is receiving the request but not able to respond back.
Only port forwarding to port 80 and 443 is being done.

Can anyone plz help me in port forwarding to the various ports used in SME ????

Read all of this
http://wiki.contribs.org/Tomcat

Please review the Contribs & Howtos so you know what information is available.

Port forwarding is really used to forward ports from your sme server gateway to another server or host on your network.

See this re enabling services on your sme and opening ports
http://wiki.contribs.org/SME_Server:Documentation:FAQ#DB_Settings

Plesae read the FAQ generally for lot's of good advice.

I think what you want though, is covered by the Tomcat wiki article.
