Title: adding different subnet to openvpn-bridge
Post by: kryptos on November 15, 2010, 03:51:17 AM
Hello,

I like my vpn users to connect to SME server with Openvpn installed to have a different IP address instead of using the default local IP address. I want to use different subnet. Is this possible? I have tried adding a new Local Networks. But when I try to set on the Openvpn menu I can't add the new network. It gives this error You have to enter an IP address in your local network

This is I want to do.

VPN Users ( ex. 10.0.0.10) ------> sme Firewall ---->(local networks 192.168.0.0,10.0.0.0)

I don't want vpn users to able to connect local network 192.168.0.0

Regards,
Rocel

Hi.

This is not possible with the bridge contrib (it's called bridge, because it creates a bridge between the local network and the VPN). If you want to have a separated LAN for VPN users, you'll have to use something else (http://wiki.contribs.org/OpenVPN or http://wiki.contribs.org/OpenVPN_SiteToSite).
