Title: Connecting BT exchange lines
Post by: del on December 02, 2010, 03:30:05 PM
What is the best way to connect BT lines to SARK? I had terrible trouble with a Digium card and AT&T in Florida  Also is it possible to use Virgin cable phone lines on SARK? I was thinking of using a gateway or a Linksys SPA3102 but not sure if either of these are the answer.

Analog lines?

Most TDM and XP100P boards will work to some degree. Most can give echo unless you put an EC board on them or compile asterisk with OSLEC support.

No analogue boards or gateways we've tried will automatically detect remote hangups on Virgin/NTL lines. That said, you can make and receive calls on them OK.

Kind Regards

Sorry, I did mean analogue lines. I had a TDM404EF card with built in echo cancellation back in Florida to connect my AT&T analogue lines and even Digium could not sort out the echo, in the end they gave me my money back! What I did then was just use some SIP trunks. If I decided to do that again who do you recommend to use for SIP? Thanks.
