Hi,
Can anyone tell me in nice simple terms how I install 'James' on SAIL 3.1, please? I have Asterisk 1.4.37 so think I need the file below but it crashes SAIL when I install it.
http://sarkpbx.com/sail/languagepack/Asterisk-1.4.28+/sme-ast-en-uk-gpl-sounds-1.2.0-4.noarch.rpm (http://sarkpbx.com/sail/languagepack/Asterisk-1.4.28+/sme-ast-en-uk-gpl-sounds-1.2.0-4.noarch.rpm)
Thanks,
Phill

Can you explain what you mean when you say that it crashes sail?
Thanks

Hmmmmmmmmm, embarrassingly it just installed. However, I am still in American. Here's what I did...
cd /home/software
wget http://sarkpbx.com/sail/languagepack/Asterisk-1.4.28+/sme-ast-en-uk-gpl-sounds-1.2.0-4.noarch.rpm
yum -y install sme-ast-en-uk-gpl-sounds-1.2.0-4.noarch.rpm
However, I now can't find where to put
language=en-gb
Also, I was expecting to see a en-gb folder somewhere (old or new Asterisk locations) but I cannot find that either. What am I missing or what have I messed up?

Hello
The 1.4.28+ langage pack was built for SAIL 2.x which is why it isn't doing it for you on 3.1. The directory naming could be better so please forgive us.
Remove the rpm you've installed with rpm -e and then download one of the uk english 3.1 language packs which should now have magically appeared on the download site (the GSM pack is more complete at the moment). Install it and then set language=en-gb in the channels headers for which you want to use it (usually, sip.conf, iax.conf and chan_dahdi.conf).
Kind Regards
