Title: Some update broke my php5-cgi
Post by: EdelingF on December 26, 2010, 12:16:59 AM
I had installed php5-cgi using the Firewall Services contrib, but during this year the contrib was broken (I think). The websites using php5-cgi were'nt available anymore. So I followed the new php5-cgi (David Harper: http://wiki.contribs.org/PHP5 (http://wiki.contribs.org/PHP5)) contrib and tried to revive the websites, but that didn't work. The result is the following:

The requested URL /php5-cgi/php-cgi/ was not found on this server.

I can't reinstall the contrib, the result is:
Code: [Select]
Parsing package install arguments
Nothing to do
Should I just reinstall it using the RPM's (http://ftp.surfnet.nl/ftp/pub/os/Linux/distr/smeserver/releases/7/smecontribs/i386/repoview/smeserver-php5-cgi.html (http://ftp.surfnet.nl/ftp/pub/os/Linux/distr/smeserver/releases/7/smecontribs/i386/repoview/smeserver-php5-cgi.html) and http://sme-mirror.firewall-services.com/releases/7/smecontribs/i386/repoview/php5-cgi.html (http://sme-mirror.firewall-services.com/releases/7/smecontribs/i386/repoview/php5-cgi.html))?

Am I missing something?

The requested URL /php5-cgi/php-cgi/ was not found on this server.
I think the clue is in this error message as I doubt the path above is correct. You should find out what it should be and set it correctly where it needs to be set, unfortunately I am not familir with tyhe php5-cgi setup.

Just found a way out. I took the risk by removing the original RPM's and reinstalling the contrib again.
I found out what the original RPM's were by using the Wayback Machine (http://web.archive.org/web/20080229184730/http://sme.firewall-services.com/spip.php?article46 (http://web.archive.org/web/20080229184730/http://sme.firewall-services.com/spip.php?article46)), since the original URL doesn't exist/work anymore.
It seems the RPM's were updated on my serverto the last versions, but simply removing the templates like David Harper suggested in the new contrib didn't do it for me. I uninstalled the RPM's by using the Server-Manager.
After that everything works just fine!
