Post by: perelandra on December 31, 2010, 06:19:28 PM
Hi all,

if anyone is interested in this, I created a little HOWTO about an integration of the free available  STARTCOM SSL Server Certificate:

http://wiki.contribs.org/Certificate_Integration_startssl.com_Server_Certificate

Comments or corrections are welcome!

Johannes.

Be sure to read and follow the How-To:
Preparation
Go to www.startssl.com, and sign up to get a free account and to install a SingleSignOn-Certificate in your browser (btw: with this certificate you are also ready to sign your emails for one or more email addresses with S/MIME) to authenticate against their configuration panel @ https://auth.startssl.com/. Validate your account as described in the signup process, and then you're ready to get your SSL Server Certificate for your SME-Server.

Hi Johannes,
I can't access the page neither:
Code: [Select]
Safari can’t open the page.
Safari can’t open the page “https://auth.startssl.com/”. The error is: “The server “auth.startssl.com” did not accept the certificate.” (NSURLErrorDomain:-1205) Please choose Safari > Report Bugs to Apple, note the error number, and describe what you did before you saw this message.

Thanks,

First you need to sign up and install the SingleSignOn Certificate in your browser. (See Howto)

If the page redirects you to fast, choose this link to sign up: https://www.startssl.com/?app=11&action=regform
