I'm looking at the wiki for SME 8 and have a question about the samba version. The wiki says "Due to this change from samba-3.4 to samba3x-3.3 it is necessary to remove samba if samba-3.4.x has been installed."
I'm running SME 7.5.1 fully updated and my samba version is 3.0.33-0.19.el4_8.3. What exact version of Samba is installed with SME 8? Also, is it possible to upgrade to 3.4 in SME7.5.1?
Thanks

SME8 (beta 6 is the latest) comes with samba3x-3.3.8-0.52.el5_5.2.
This Samba version includes full domain support for Windows 7 PCs. Domain logons and roaming user profiles are working.
As far as I can see, there are no plans to upgrade Samba on SME7.x to a Samba version 3.4.
