Title: Virtualbox Guest Additions install

I'm familiar with Debian based distros but not Red Hat based ones. I'm trying to install Virtualbox Guest Additions for SME Server guest on Virtualbox. Lookint at various "howtos" from Googling, I've used yum to install various packages e.g. dkms, build-essentila, gcc, libgomp. I've mounted the Guest Additions .iso and done a bash on VboxLinuxAdditons-x86.run. It uncompresses Virtualbox Guest Additions and starts building the Guest Additions mdules but the aborts with "system not setup to build kernel modules", look at /var/log/vboxaddinstall.log. The log states "Unable to find sources of current Linux kernel - Specify KERN_DIR and run make again. What do I need to do?
