On the back of the blocking of P2P traffic, has anyone found a free way of terminating skype sessions? ipp2p does not.
I do allow Skype during certain hours but not in others. So I need to be able to stop new sessions from starting and terminate any active sessions at a certain time of day.
I have been able to use iptables to block new Skype sessions from starting and I use cutter to terminate active sessions on other applications but Skype seems immune to termination by cutter (which is not surprising).
Any pointers would be appreciated.
edit: ugh! i just realized this and the torrent question should probably be in the general section. Feel free to move.

The Skype protocol is proprietary, and also secured with reasonably sound encryption (if this is correct):

so maybe it's not surprising that it withstands attempted disruption. It's unlikely to be perfect - so good luck!

Done - no worries.
