Hi Ive had this problem for a while- its no big deal but have a bit of time so i want to sort it out.
The system always sends me multiple (4) notifications by email whether there is a -system update or misc system failure (drive not mounted, cron failed to run...etc..)
Unsure where to start or check.
Can anyone help?
System is a 7.5.2 running in server only mode.

Those emails are normally sent to the 'admin' user, so try just sending a plain old email to 'admin@yourdomain' and see if you get that 4 times. Then you know it must be some configuration issue somewhere - have you got your admin emails redirected somewhere to a group name ? Log in to webmail using the 'admin' account and see if it's in there four times.
I am assuming the emails are all exactly the same, there's not a slight change to a file name in each one... Are they all the same timestamp ?

Hi axessit,
confirming the following inquiries.
- sent an email to the admin account- I receved it and only 1 copy.
- checked webmail and just the one email.
Checked the datestamp- all exactly the same???- got me stumped this one.
I can advise that successful backup reports admin is only one notification.
mutiple notifications are usually with freshclam failure, backup failure or update notifications.
The emails are sent from root@... or admin-backup@... or Crondaemon@....
