Title: VPN Problem
Post by: Robert Birch on July 04, 2002, 07:57:25 PM
I have E-Smith 5.1.2 running. VPN was working find (From an XP machine). I then updated the E-Smith to the latest blade. (Update2 I think), and now when I try to connect with VPN I get "There was no answer."

I tried connecting to it internally from a Win2K machine, but get the same error.

If I look at the messages log file, there is nothing added when I try to connect.

Any ideas? Does Update2 break VPN support?

Thanks,
Robert Birch

Oops. Ok after doing some port scanning, I see that I can't VPN internally. Port 1723 is not open if I scan to the internal address. It is there if I scan the external address.

I'll have to try to connect externally then.

Sorry for the waste of time.
