Title: How to prevent users to send to groups
Post by: nemanja.stosic on April 26, 2011, 02:57:43 PM
Hi,
i have installed SME 7.5.1. I have 1000 user accounts, and one group which contains all the users. I need to prevent users to send email to that group, this group is used only for outside user, from another domain. Is there any way i can do this? Thanks in advance

Search for "visible internal", which will find, amongst other things:

"How to add local groups that cannot receive external emails"

In several previous posts, not to mention the developers manual.

db accounts setprop myGroupName Visible internal
signal-event email-update

Tell them they mustn't do it, and adminish or punish them if they do. They should soon stop. Not every problem is a technical problem, and not every problem has a technical solution.

If you must have a technical solution, then I'm sure you could make a custom template which does what you want.
