This has just recently happened (last night) ... worked fine before that.

I'd appreciate any comments, support on this matter.
Thanks

Looks like your USB drive is being properly detected and the entry is being added to fstab.
There have been problems when using Firefox 4 to configure the backup.
But using Internet Explorer works. Are you using Firefox 4 ?? and if so what did you use previously.

Thank you ... reconfiguring via IE8 worked. Since upgrading to Firefox 4 I had NOT been into the Backup portion of Server Manager but had reviewed and reconfigured other (non related) panels, however, FF4 obviously affected the Backup Configuration somehow.

Paul, your issue has been marked as a duplicate of a known and fixed issue, the package can only be released after verification, it would be much better if you or any one else affected could verify the new package does fix the issue, so we can mark it VERIFIED and release it, so less users are prone to this issue.

Hi Cactus
Please advise specifically what action you wish me to take ... all I did to resolve the issue was to reconfigure the Backup Configuration using IE8 ... I did not install any package nor manually alter any config or db files.

The best thing would be to create the faulty situation again, after that show the error is present.
Then install the fixed package with a version of at least the on mentioned in the bug that fixed the issue and test that the issue is gone. You can find how bugs are generally verified by looking at some bugs that are already verified (http://bugs.contribs.org/buglist.cgi?action=wrap&bug_file_loc=&bug_file_loc_type=allwordssubstr&bug_id=&bug_id_type=anyexact&chfieldfrom=&chfieldto=Now&chfieldvalue=&email1=&email2=&emailtype1=substring&emailtype2=substring&field0-0-0=bug_status&keywords=&keywords_type=allwords&longdesc=&longdesc_type=allwordssubstr&negate0=1&short_desc=&short_desc_type=allwordssubstr&type0-0-0=equals&value0-0-0=CLOSED&votes=&=&bug_status=VERIFIED) or looking at http://wiki.contribs.org/SME_Server:Documentation:QA#Verification
