Title: GRUB boot choice
Post by: calisun on June 04, 2011, 05:00:57 AM
While booting my test server, I have noticed that during a boot, for a few seconds a GRUB boot screen opens up and gives me a choice:

SME Server (2.6.18-194.11.1.el5PAE)
SME Server (2.6.18-194.11.1.el)

By default, the first choice gets booted. What is the difference between the two and does it matter which one gets booted?

This is good to know, right now I have 6 gig installed on my production server, but 7.x is only reporting 4gig.
So when I install v.8 on my production server, it should utilize all 6 gig.
Thanks
