Title: Backup users home folders to Windows

Hi,

I need to backup the users home folders from 2 * SME servers to a Windows PC, do not need to backup the complete server config as I am unable to restore only one or two files. Is this possible and how - I am a Windows user.

Install the DAR2 contrib & create a selective backup job.  Click on the Contribs link at top of forums

Hi,

Installed contrib and backup is happening to Windows workstation.  I do not see a way to restore a single file to the SME server.  Am I doing something wrong, docs only discuss full restore to new server?

We only need a single file from a shared folder or users home directory to be restored.

pls read the dar2 contrib wiki re restoring files using the mc plugin

not readable by windows but you can copy the file using mc to a windows share & suitably change ownership & permissions as necessary
