Title: Firewall suddenly started blocking a well used IP address
Post by: misnerspace on August 30, 2011, 06:20:17 AM
I have posted this on the bug tracker just in case it is a bug. My gut feeling is that it isn't, but I may be wrong!

The SME firewall has started denying IPs from a specific cloud service that we started using about 5 weeks ago. I am trying to find out whether this is a bug with SME server. I am curious to know why the firewall would suddenly single out a specific IP address and start blocking it. I haven't updated or installed anything new. Unfortunately this site serves as our Student Information System so we need to get access to it. I need to identify whether the problem is with them or with our server.

I have attached a log file which contains all instances of the problem. It seemed to have started about 2 weeks ago (there were only two issues) but then somehow it magically resolved itself until today.

NB:Thanks for all your hard work on making a quality piece of software, my school really appreciates it.

Please include a link to the bug, so that we can easily see the details of the problem.

The problem website is PowerSchool. We are having no other problems with any other website.

I had a look through previous threads and noticed the following

http://forums.contribs.org/index.php/topic,28709.15.html

There quite old posts but I think they could be relevant.

I am not too sure on how to proceed on this, so any advice would be most appreciated.
